Listen up: Valuing lived experiences within organizational research
- Dr Stacey Silins, Research Psychologist, Director Research Personnel and Family Support, Office of Director General Military Personnel Research and Analysis, Military Personnel Command, Department of National Defence, Canada
In this presentation, Dr. Silins will highlight the strengths and challenges of centering lived experiences in research that supports the organizational response to sexual misconduct within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Department of National Defence.
This will include a summary of her study findings from one-on-one interviews with CAF members and veterans who experienced sexual misconduct while serving, and an overview of ongoing initiatives that promote the continued and meaningful inclusion of these important perspectives within the organizational research setting.
