RAUSI Takes Note

Photo: RAND Corporation

18 April, 2022

RAUSI has noted with interest the increasing number of U.S. authored articles which discuss capability gaps currently thought to exist when U.S. forces are operating within the Arctic region. The RAND Corporation has detailed many of these in the following two articles.

RAUSI notes that as these capability gaps exist within the U.S. military, then they are likely to exist within the CAF also. Specifically, the ability to communicate with partners, being aware of emerging threats and having the ability to respond appropriately are critical when operating in the Arctic.

RAUSI encourages all members to become informed on Canada’s capability gaps with a view to discussing these with their elected officials.
